Meet Lauree Beth Marshall
I first began hazard mitigation plan writing while employed as deputy director of emergency management at Cleveland County Emergency Management (May 2016- January 2020). In addition to the tasks I had as deputy director, re-writing the entire hazard mitigation plan was my responsibility, and I met with each jurisdiction to verify the information and correct any issues from the previous plan. The final plan resulted in a more accessible document for all jurisdictions to use.
I started L.E. Marshall Consulting in 2019 after realizing the need for local emergency managers to have a resource who could assist them in plan writing. My services primarily focus on updating hazard mitigation plans for counties and schools. Since October 2019, I have completed single jurisdiction plans and multi-jurisdictional plans. While the state and FEMA review process varies, my multi-jurisdictional plans have been approved by FEMA within 3 weeks of submission.
