Updating Hazard Mitigation Plans for counties and schools can function as a guide to specify the unique vulnerabilities of each community while fulfilling a federal requirement to apply for multiple grant programs. I meet individually with each community to identify vulnerabilities, and listen to community leaders to understand their resource needs. I strive to create a hazard mitigation plan that reflects your community while establishing mitigation goals that meet FEMA’s comprehensive range.
2. Emergency Management Planning:
Emergency management encompasses more than hazard mitigation and grant writing. Emergency operation plans, continuity of operation plans, and other plans ensure your personnel know how to prepare for emergency and disaster response.
3. Grant Writing:
Local emergency management departments and schools often accomplish much with limited budgets, staff, and resources. I work with entities to manage the process of grant applications from start to finish.
